Botanical nourishment for sun-exposed skin
A natural oil blend for everyday skin care
Our Natural Sun Oil combines six carrier oils and six essential oils in a botanical blend designed to moisturize and condition the skin. The formula is ideal for people who want to maintain soft, smooth-feeling skin while incorporating plant-based oils into their body care routine. Its rich, emollient texture helps reduce the dry feeling that can follow time outdoors, bathing, or exposure to dry air.
Use Natural Sun Oil as part of your regular skin care routine whenever your skin needs additional moisture. It can be massaged into the face and body, allowing the oils to coat the skin and support a supple, healthy-looking appearance.
Moisture for dry, dehydrated-feeling skin
Help maintain a soft, supple appearance
Skin can feel tight, rough, or uncomfortable when it loses moisture. Our Natural Sun Oil provides emollient plant oils that condition the skin's surface, helping it feel softer and smoother. Olive, jojoba, avocado, coconut, and sesame oils contribute to the formula's moisturizing qualities, while sea buckthorn oil adds another source of naturally occurring fatty acids and plant compounds.
For an easy daily routine, apply a small amount after bathing while your skin is still slightly damp. This helps the oil spread easily and supports moisture retention, particularly on areas prone to dryness, such as the arms, legs, shoulders, and elbows.
After-sun skin care with botanical oils
Nourish skin after spending time outdoors
Time outdoors can leave skin feeling dry, especially after swimming, sweating, or exposure to wind and heat. Natural Sun Oil can be used after outdoor activities to moisturize and condition the skin, helping it regain a soft, comfortable feel.
Apply gently to intact skin after cleansing and cooling down. If your skin is hot, painful, blistered, or visibly sunburned, avoid applying essential-oil blends to the affected area and seek appropriate care for significant burns.
Natural Sun Oil is not a substitute for sunscreen. Plant oils do not establish a verified sun protection factor, and this product should not be relied on to prevent sunburn or protect against UV damage. Use broad-spectrum, water-resistant SPF 30 or higher sunscreen, reapply as directed on the label, and complement it with shade and protective clothing.
A versatile oil for face and body
Simple moisturizing care in one bottle
Our Natural Sun Oil can be massaged into facial and body skin as part of a moisturizing routine. Start with a small amount and spread it evenly, adding more only where needed. Because the formula contains essential oils, people with sensitive or reactive skin should patch test before broader application and discontinue use if irritation develops.
For facial application, avoid the eyes and other sensitive areas. If you are prone to clogged pores or breakouts, test the oil on a small area first to determine how your skin responds.
Natural Sun Oil vs. sunscreen
Moisturizing care and UV protection serve different purposes
Natural Sun Oil is a botanical skin-conditioning oil designed to help maintain softness and hydration. Sunscreen is specifically formulated and tested to provide a labeled level of protection against ultraviolet radiation.
Although both products may be used as part of an outdoor skin care routine, they are not interchangeable. Apply a broad-spectrum sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher for sun protection and follow its directions for reapplication, including after swimming or sweating. Use Natural Sun Oil for moisturizing care rather than as your primary sun protection.
Natural Sun Oil vs. Face and Body Oil
Choose according to your skin care routine
Our Face and Body Oil is designed for general moisturizing and conditioning of facial and body skin. Natural Sun Oil is positioned for skin care during and after outdoor exposure, while still providing the emollient qualities of a botanical oil blend.
Choose Natural Sun Oil if you want an oil specifically associated with your outdoor and after-sun skin care routine. Choose Face and Body Oil if your main priority is everyday moisturizing across the face and body. Neither product replaces sunscreen.
Natural Sun Oil vs. Argan Oil With Lavender
Multi-oil nourishment vs. a focused two-oil blend
Our Argan Oil With Lavender combines organic argan oil with organic lavender essential oil and is intended for moisturizing and conditioning the skin, hair, and nails. Natural Sun Oil contains a broader blend of carrier oils and essential oils and is positioned for skin care during and after outdoor exposure.
Choose the formula that best fits your routine: Argan Oil With Lavender for a focused argan-and-lavender blend, or Natural Sun Oil for a more varied botanical oil combination. Neither should be used in place of tested sunscreen.
What's in Natural Sun Oil?
Olive oil
Olive oil provides an emollient base that helps soften the skin and reduce the dry feeling associated with moisture loss. It contains oleic acid, a monounsaturated fatty acid, along with naturally occurring vitamin E compounds (tocopherols) and polyphenols. We include olive oil for its rich, conditioning texture.
Jojoba oil
Jojoba oil is composed primarily of liquid wax esters, which help give it a smooth, skin-conditioning feel. It also contains naturally occurring tocopherols and other minor compounds. We use jojoba oil to complement the formula's other moisturizing oils and help leave skin feeling soft and supple.
Sesame oil
Sesame oil contributes emollient fatty acids, including oleic and linoleic acids, as well as naturally occurring lignans such as sesamin and sesamolin. These compounds contribute to sesame oil's characteristic composition. We include it to enrich the formula's moisturizing base and support a smooth skin feel.
Avocado oil
Avocado oil contains oleic acid and may contain vitamin E-related tocopherols, carotenoids, and other minor plant compounds. Its fatty-acid profile makes it a useful ingredient in moisturizing formulations. We use avocado oil to condition dry-feeling skin and contribute to the blend's rich texture.
Coconut oil
Coconut oil contains a high proportion of saturated fatty acids, particularly lauric acid. These fatty acids contribute to its emollient properties and characteristic consistency. We include coconut oil to help soften the skin and complement the other carrier oils.
Sea buckthorn oil
Sea buckthorn oil contains varying amounts of fatty acids and naturally occurring plant compounds. Some forms contain carotenoids and tocopherols, while seed oil can provide linoleic and alpha-linolenic acids. We include it to add another botanical oil to the moisturizing blend.
French lavender essential oil
French lavender essential oil contains aromatic compounds such as linalool and linalyl acetate, with concentrations varying by source and processing. We use lavender essential oil to contribute a distinctive botanical aroma to the formula.
Chamomile essential oil
Chamomile essential oil contains aromatic constituents that vary by chamomile species and extraction method. Some chamomile oils contain bisabolol-related compounds and other terpenes. We include it for its botanical character and contribution to the overall aromatic blend.
Myrrh essential oil
Myrrh essential oil contains aromatic resin-derived compounds, including various sesquiterpenes. Its distinctive earthy aroma complements the other essential oils. We use myrrh as part of the formula's botanical fragrance profile.
Peppermint essential oil
Peppermint essential oil contains menthol and menthone, compounds associated with its characteristic fresh, cooling sensation and minty aroma. We include peppermint essential oil to contribute a refreshing aromatic quality. Because concentrated peppermint oil can irritate some skin, patch testing is particularly important for sensitive users.
Calendula essential oil
Calendula is associated with botanical compounds such as flavonoids, carotenoids, and triterpenoids. We include calendula as part of the formula's botanical blend.
Carrot essential oil
Carrot seed essential oil is primarily valued for its aromatic constituents, while carotenoids are more characteristic of certain carrot-derived extracts and oils. We include carrot essential oil to complement the formula's botanical profile.
How to use Natural Sun Oil
Apply a small amount as needed
Pour a small amount of Natural Sun Oil into your palms and gently rub your hands together. Massage the oil over the desired areas of facial or body skin, avoiding the eyes and other sensitive areas. Begin with a small quantity and add more if necessary.
It may be reapplied after exiting the water. Always reapply sunscreen according to its own label after swimming, sweating, or towel drying.
What makes Natural Sun Oil different?
Six carrier oils and six essential oils
Our Natural Sun Oil brings together olive, jojoba, sesame, avocado, coconut, and sea buckthorn carrier oils with French lavender, chamomile, myrrh, peppermint, calendula, and carrot essential oils. Each ingredient contributes its own characteristic fatty acids, plant compounds, texture, or aromatic profile.
This combination creates a multipurpose botanical oil for people who want to moisturize and condition their skin with a blend of plant-derived ingredients. Use it as one step in a broader skin care routine that prioritizes gentle cleansing, regular moisturization, and appropriate sun protection.
We recommend using this product as an aid both during and after sun exposure.
