Visit a herb store, do a google search on herbs, herbalists, etc. What city are you in? To find out about herbs, purchase a good book like THE HERB BOOK by John LUST or HOW TO BE YOUR OWN HERBALIST by Linda Page. Go to a major bookstore (Barnes and Noble, Borders) and look in the Natural Medicine/Alternative Medicine/Health section. You'll find plenty of good reading material there.
