I have been dealing with diabetes for over twenty years. I have been on dialysis for almost three years. I am a bilateral amputee, and have retinopathy and cardiovascular problems. I don't eat many carbs and take only ten units of Lantus per day. Blood sugars run good, last A1C was 5.6. I don't know what I can take because of the strict renal diet I am on. That's what has me stumped. Can you help?
