What is ozonated olive oil?
Ozonated olive oil begins with olive oil, but it is not simply ordinary olive oil placed into a skincare bottle.
During ozonation, ozone is introduced to the oil. Ozone reacts with the unsaturated fatty acids naturally present in olive oil, changing portions of the oil's chemical composition and creating oxygen-containing compounds.
Oxy-Oil uses this ozonated oil as its entire formula.
What happens during ozonation?
Olive oil naturally contains unsaturated fatty acids, particularly oleic acid. The carbon-carbon double bonds within these fatty acids can react with ozone.
This reaction produces various oxygenated compounds, including ozonides, peroxides, aldehydes, and related oxidation products. These chemical changes are why ozonated olive oil can have a different texture, aroma, and chemical profile than untreated olive oil.
Moisture support for dry skin
Dry skin can occur when the outermost layers of the skin lose too much water or lack sufficient lipids to maintain a comfortable, flexible surface.

Plant-derived oil vs. petroleum-derived oil
Both can function as emollients, but their compositions are very different.
Oxy-Oil naturally originates from olive oil and contains fatty-acid-derived compounds and other components associated with the olive oil base. It contains no petroleum-derived mineral oil.
Oxy-Oil vs. lanolin
Lanolin is a waxy substance obtained from sheep's wool and is commonly incorporated into creams, balms, and other moisturizing products.

Why does ozonated olive oil smell different?
People trying ozonated olive oil for the first time may notice that it does not smell exactly like the olive oil in their kitchen.
That is normal.
Ozonation changes the oil
When ozone reacts with olive oil's unsaturated fatty acids, new oxygen-containing compounds are created.
These chemical changes can produce a distinctive aroma. The smell is therefore related to the ozonation process rather than added perfume or fragrance.
How to use Oxy-Oil
Oxy-Oil can be incorporated into a regular skin care routine with very little preparation.
External use
Pour a small amount of Oxy-Oil into the palm of your hand. Rub your hands together and massage the oil into the desired area of skin.
Use twice daily according to the product directions.

Internal use
